The Mighty 1290 KOIL Mayoral Debate

In preparation for what promises to be a tough contest for this year’s race for Omaha Mayor, all five candidates will participate in the area’s first official mayoral debate of the season. Hosted live on The Mighty 1290 KOIL-AM both over the air and on-line, this long-form debate will take place before a live community audience and feature current Mayor Jim Suttle, former Gubernatorial candidate Dave Nabity, Omaha City Council Member Jean Stothert, Nebraska Senator Brad Ashford, and former Omaha Council Member Dan Welch.

The candidates will address issues and concerns as posed by the 1290 KOIL broadcasters Tom Becka and Clint Bellows along with KETV City Hall Reporter, Todd Andrews.

The inaugural debate will be held at the Virginia Schmid Auditorium in Mammel Hall at the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Thursday, March 14th at 7pm.
